Heidelberg United is delighted to announce the appointment of Harry Bingham as Junior Boys Technical Director.
Bingham will bring valuable experience to the junior ranks, overseeing the progress of the next wave of youngsters coming through in the Warriors’ coaching programs.
Previously, he was head coach for the Box Hill Senior Secondary College as part of their Soccer Academy.
“I’m privileged to join Heidelberg United. This is a highly respected club in Australian football and a place were football legends played and performed to large crowds,” he said.
“I played many times at the ground as a player and was the only other club I considered playing for after being offered an opportunity in years gone by.
“I have many famous friends who have worn the Heidelberg shirt. Names such as Theo Selemidis, Charlie Yankos, Gary Cole, Andy Bozikas, Gary Mcdowall, Ange Goutzoulis, Phil Stubbins and also a friend in my native town of Scotland – goalkeeper Jim Marner.
“The job now is to create and develop new generations of young players for Heidelberg.
“I am looking forward to a new era and a new challenge for a club that will renew its modern approach and strategic plan to repeat its previous history of successful locally developed players.”
