It’s Easter Sunday action at Catalina Street headquarters, as the ‘Bergers take on the Magic.
Two major players in the Heidelberg team line up in significant milestone games, with “King Kenny” Athiu making his 100th appearance for the club over two stints, and midfielder Anthony Theodoropoulos notching up his 50th game.
With both teams safely negotiating their passage through to Round 5 of the Australia Cup after midweek winning ties, it’s NPL Round 8 action at the Village.
Little separates them on the table, with the ‘Bergers marginally ahead of the Magic on goal difference. After a slow start to 2023, Heidelberg is getting players back to full fitness, and gathering points steadily – including coming back from a two goal deficit in the dying minutes of last week’s match against Port Melbourne.
Unbeaten in its last four games, Heidelberg knows that a win can take it within touching distance of the top six. However, Altona will provide stern resistance and it promises to be a customary tight match between two fairly evenly matched teams.
Game time is 6:00pm on Easter Sunday, April 9.
HUFC TV will stream the game Live on Facebook and live on the web https://www.hufc.com.au/hufc-live-football/
