For their first cup match of the year Heidelberg drew Croydon. The girls had high expectations, playing against a Croydon, a team division lower.
The girls ended up devastating Croydon in a convincing 10-0 win.
It was a cold night but the girls were firing on all cylinders being sure to not let an early goal plague them as it has in this season.
The girls all played a strong game, putting together a full package of quality offence and clinical defence.
Co-captains Steph Galea each scored hat tricks whilst Emma Langley made the most of another start netting two herself, showing glimpses of her form that made her the leading goal scorer for the club last season.
Sidney Allen was in amongst once again adding two more to her club tally also.
Elisabeth Robers, who has quietly put in a stellar season once again dominated the centre of ground tonight with sublime passing and work rate.
The first half ended in a 6-0 lead for Heidelberg which they built upon to the 10-0 win by the end of the game.
The second half the girls took the gas off the pedal a bit, with the result intact they worked on the execution of their game plan.
The girls move onto their next league game against Box Hill on Sunday.
