As a Heidelberg United fan, you know that your support means everything to the club. You’ve shown up to cup ties, finals, and major tournaments, and your passion for the team is undeniable. But have you ever thought about the impact your support could have at every home game?
It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of derby matches and big events, but the truth is that every game at home is important. Not only does your attendance show the players that you believe in them, but it also helps the club financially.
When you come out to support Heidelberg United at home games, you’re contributing to the club’s bottom line. Ticket sales, merchandise, and concessions all add up, and that money goes directly back into the club. This allows the team to invest in better facilities, equipment, and coaching staff, all of which ultimately make the club stronger.
Ultimately, supporting Heidelberg United is about more than just the team on the field. It’s about being part of a community that comes together to celebrate the sport they love. It’s about showing the next generation of fans what it means to be passionate and dedicated. And it’s about creating a legacy that will last for years to come.
FFA Cup 2017 Sydney City v Heidelberg United
Heidelberg United is a football club that has been a home and a community for many Greek migrants since 1958. It has a rich history that reflects the diversity and passion of its supporters. As a fan of Heidelberg United, let us put our differences aside and unite behind the club that has given us so much.
Our community is representative of the northern parts of Greece, particularly Florina, where our founding fathers came from. We have Greek communities from Kastoria, Thessaloniki, Lefkada, Crete, Cyprus and other parts of Greece who call Heidelberg United their home.
Alexander Soccer Club, which later became Heidelberg United, became a club for all Greeks. We welcomed everyone, and every weekend in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, family picnics and dances were a norm where footballers would join the families and celebrate with fans. Yes, we experienced a setback when we were kicked out of the National League, but we proved time and again that we are a resilient mob. Today we are a club for all Australians not just Greeks.

We need active fans who will go through those famous gates at the Olympic Village and support our club no matter what level we play at. Only then can we build this club to greatness. As fans of Heidelberg United, we understand that we have a common goal, which is to make Heidelberg United great again.
We should be proud of what our club has achieved, and we should strive to continue that legacy. We may not have the financial resources of other clubs, but we have something that money cannot buy, and that is our passion and love for Heidelberg United. We have stood by our club through thick and thin, and we will continue to do so. We understand that we may not win every game, but we will always stand with our club, win or lose. Heidelberg United represents more than just a football club. It is a symbol of our community, our heritage, and our identity. As fans, we should embrace that and use it to strengthen our bond with our club. We should take pride in being part of the Heidelberg United family and show the world what it means to be a true supporter.
