The Club has decided to cancel training for the rest of the week and intends to resume training on Monday, 29 June 2020, unless advised otherwise by the appropriate authorities.
The Club is taking necessary precautionary action to ensure the health and well-being of its community and has a duty of care to all its players, coaches and volunteers.
We are communicating daily with the City of Banyule, Football Victoria, Sport and Recreation Victoria and the Department of Health and Human Services and know that some guidance will be issued over the next few days in relation to the mentioned hotpots and potential changes to training guidelines.
As most of our players and coaches either reside or attend school in the cities of Hume, Moreland and Darebin; the potential impact on the club and its participants cannot be ignored. The potential shutdown of these areas has not been ruled out by State Government.
The cases in these areas are expected to rise as more schools are being shutdown and increased testing is done.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult and often unpredictable time.
