Heidelberg United Women’s FC has been a leading advocate of the women’s game. Its first women’s team was established in 1978 when women’s football was a far cry from where it is today.
This team played until 1982. It was re-established in 1991 and has played in the Victorian Women’s Premier league ever since. It is currently the longest serving team in the WPL competition. In 2007, it won its first and only Championship to date. It reached the semi finals in 2013 and the Grand Final in 2014.
In 2015 we have WPL Senior & Reserve Women, State League 3 and Under 16A girls teams.
