Warriors Maintain Top Spot

Heidelberg United women’s football retain the top spot in the league after a solid 2-1 victory over FC Bulleen Lions. The opening goal was scored by Barreiro, who slotted a free kick past the wall into the corner of the net. Throughout the match, Heidelberg appeared in control, never looking troubled.

In a strong first term, Matsuda added a second goal with a brilliant strike, allowing the Warriors to lead 2-0 at half time. The Lions attempted to stage a comeback early in the second half, being awarded a penalty in the 50th minute, which they converted.
